Carrie Grant, CMP - Conference & Event Planner
Carrie has been with the Conference & Event Management (CEM) department for 9 years and counting. She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with a Hospitality Emphasis and is proud to represent the University of Utah as a fan, alumni, and staff member. Within the CEM department, Carrie specializes in Registration Services, University of Utah Residence Hall Intern Housing for the Summer Conferencing department, facility coordination for Summer Camps as well as full service meeting planning. Carrie is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International (ACCED-I). She has served on Program and Social Media committees for the 35th Annual and 36th Annual ACCED-I conferences. Go Utes!
Perry Hacker, CMP - Director
Christopher Pehler, CMP, HMCC - Conference & Event Planner
Christopher has been in the hospitality industry for over 12 years, in both private and public sectors. As a Utah native, he graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with a Hospitality Emphasis and has achieved his credential as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). Within the CEM department, Christopher provides logistical and administrative support for groups of all sizes, both on-campus and off-campus, as well as specializing in healthcare meetings. Christopher is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
Meghan Webb, CMP - Assistant Director
Meghan has worked in hospitality at the University of Utah for more than 17 years and is passionate about customer service and working with clients in higher-education. Meghan graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with an emphasis in Hospitality Management and has the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential. Meghan handles new business inquiries, responds to request for proposals, arranges site tours, and with her staff, strategically plans for the future of the organization. Meghan is active in the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International (ACCED-I) where she is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the association. She loves that every day in hospitality holds something new – new clients, guests, challenges, decisions. When she isn’t at work, Meghan loves spending time in the Utah outdoors and going on adventures with her 3 children.
Kristen Zelis-Clark - Accountant
Kristy has worked in property management and hospitality for over 6 years. She graduated from the University of Utah with bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Utah. She supports the Conference & Event Management function by helping with budgets and creating Invoices.
