Meghan has worked in hospitality at the University of Utah for 24 years and is passionate
about customer service and working with clients in higher-education. Meghan graduated
from the University of Utah with a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with an
emphasis in Hospitality Management and has the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
credential. Meghan handles new business inquiries, responds to request for proposals, arranges site tours, and
with her staff, strategically plans for the future of the organization. Meghan is
active in the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International
(ACCED-I) where she served in several leadership roles, including 5 years as a member
of the Board of Directors for the association. Meghan also enjoys participating on
University committees related to campus wide contracts and venue management. She loves that every day in hospitality holds something new – new clients, guests,
challenges, decisions. When she isn’t at work, Meghan loves spending time in the Utah
outdoors and going on adventures with her family.
Carrie A. Grant, CMP - Senior Conference & Event Planner

Carrie Grant has been a valued member of the Conference & Event Management (CEM) team
for 17 years. She’s a proud University of Utah alum with a degree in Parks, Recreation,
and Tourism (Hospitality emphasis) and holds the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
credential. At CEM, Carrie focuses on registration services and full-service meeting
planning. She’s also a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and loves
representing the U as a fan, alum, and staff member. Go Utes!

Brandon Grizzell - Accountant

Brandon has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 20 years. He started with the University Guest House in 2004 as a front desk clerk and eventually moved to the accounting department. In 2012 Brandon left the Guest House to pursue a career as a General Manager of a corporate event photography company. For the next 5 years he traveled the world, coordinating photography services with meeting planners and clients. In February 2018 he returned to the Guest House to continue his accounting career. He supports Conference and Event Management by handling accounting needs as well as working on-site for meetings.
